  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to technology that enables machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognising patterns, and making decisions.

  • Many core concepts can be learned using free or trial versions of AI tools, especially at the start.
For teams with paid licences (for example, Microsoft 365 Copilot), sessions can be designed around your exact setup and permissions.

  • An LLM is a type of AI trained on vast amounts of text to understand and generate human-like language. Tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot are powered by LLMs.

  • These tools use LLMs to process your input (called a prompt) and generate helpful, context-aware responses. They predict the most relevant words or actions based on patterns learned from data.

  • Prompting is the process of giving instructions or questions to an AI tool. A well-written prompt helps the AI understand what you need and deliver better results. On our training you’ll learn how to use Pollinger’s Prompting Pillars to improve the quality of responses from AI tools.

  • AI relies on patterns in data, not true understanding. It can make mistakes, also known as hallucinating, if the prompt is unclear, the topic is complex, or the information is outside its training data. In our training you’ll learn how to reduce hallucinations.

  • No. With the right training, anyone can use AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot effectively. Our sessions make AI simple and practical for all skill levels.

  • ChatGPT is a standalone AI tool (although business versions are available), while Microsoft 365 Copilot has access to your organisation’s data and integrates AI into apps like Word, Excel, and Teams, helping you work smarter within familiar tools.
